The festive season is a time for warmth, family, and celebration. But for many children and their families, this Christmas will be spent in hospital. This year, we at Spotless Detailing are reaching out to our incredible community to help bring a little comfort, joy, and support to those who need it most.
We’re partnering with Apex Ecosse and Scottish Road Runners to collect donations for the Edinburgh Hospital Children’s Charity, and we’d be incredibly grateful for your help.
What We’re Collecting
We’re looking for donations that will brighten a child’s day or help families who face unexpected overnight stays.
🎁 Toys for All Ages
To keep everyone safe, donated toys must be
new and
easily sanitised.
Please avoid:
- Soft toys / cuddly toys
- Dolls with hair
- Anything made from fabric or textured materials that could harbour bacteria
Suitable items include:
- Plastic toys
- Board games
- Puzzles
- Books
- Sensory toys that can be wiped clean
🧴 Toiletries & Essentials
For children and their families during unexpected or extended stays:
- Travel-size or full-size toiletries
- Toothbrushes & toothpaste
- Shower gel, shampoo, deodorant
- Wipes
- Simple skincare items
- Pyjamas for both children and adults
These small comforts make a huge difference during a stressful time.

If you’d prefer to donate money, every penny will go directly toward purchasing more toys, toiletries, or hospital approved gift cards.
SD Group will match all monetary donations, doubling the impact of your generosity.
